We get caught up in the everyday life stuff, the work stuff, the home life stuff, the parenting stuff, the relationship stuff and we can become rather mindless when in the midst of all that STUFF.
So as you may have guessed by my previous posts, I have been going through the alphabet and picking a topic to get mindful about. This week it is E for emotions.
When we do find ourselves in the middle of something we are sure we have been in before, we recycle the same arguments, the same thoughts and we realise we've been here before.
That's all I wish for you to notice this week.
When you are engaged in any conversation, situation or thought, tap into your emotions.
What stuff is surfacing for you?
What emotions are rising to the surface?
What emotion are you choosing to engage in? I say choose here because we are choosing...totally unconsciously but there you have it.
When we can choose to go from mindlessness to mindfulness we can then begin to see that we can consciously choose a new way to be so that each old and repeated situation we find ourselves in can be viewed through a fresh new lens. One which is focused on mindfulness and all its gifts.
