Mindfulness is all about feeling and sitting with the emotions and thoughts that come up moment to moment.
Feeling uneasy may not be your idea of fun yet if we can learn to sit with unease it can teach us...
Please watch the video below and listen to the words.
I record all of my meditations in the moment and it is not rehearsed in any way. This way it is more authentic and true, in the moment.
This meditation was part of the Beginner's Meditation Course so it will not go onto the Heart Meditation as it says at the beginning but I do hope you enjoy this short mindful meditation on Evoking Love.
Kindness can go a really long way. We forget to be kind to others and sometimes we even forget to be kind to ourselves...
To begin living a kinder life, to create peace in our world through kindness is such a gift for ourselves and for those around us.
Below is a short mindfulness meditation which centres on Kindness and how you can integrate more of it into your life.
How many times have you looked at someone else's life and felt real jealousy?
Perhaps it was a friend or perhaps it was someone you don't know. Maybe you aspire to be everything this person is and you find yourself lacking so jealousy creeps in and clouds your head with silly thoughts like:
"My life is worthless."
"If I don't have the same life as..............then I will have had a wasted life."
"I will never be as good as....."
"............has everything, it's not fair."
Maybe some of these are things you have uttered at some point, maybe they aren't but I would be really really shocked if you told me you have never, in your entire life, felt some jealousy towards another human being.
So with this in mind I have put together a short minful meditation on what you can do when jealousy takes hold of you. Remember next time jealousy is creeping in, be present to what it is that is actually going on for you.
Illuminate your life!
Today we're diving into intimacy.
This mindfulness meditation will help strengthen your intimate connections and allow you to Be Present when with your significant other.
I loved the question posed by author Neale Donald Walsch in a radio interview I heard. He asked, (this may not be a direct quote but it went something like this), "How, in a world of 7 billion people can we all be wanting the same thing, happiness, and yet be unable to achieve it?"
It was a big question and one which I could never answer but it did get me thinking about the concept of happiness. We all say we want it, we all say we would love to be happier in our day to day lives. When I carry out mindfulness coaching with my clients, the one thing everyone says when we get right into it is, "I guess ultimately I just wish to be happier."
So I hope you're all familiar with the Pharrell Williams song 'HAPPY'. Here are a few of the lyrics:
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
We all say we want it but most people aren't even aware of what happiness is to them, what it looks and feels like for them.
So the following mindful meditation for you is all about connecting with your own happiness, your own contentment and bringing more of it into your life.
This will not only benefit and enrich your life, it will do the same for anyone close to you. That actually came out of a Gallup Study!!
Give it a listen and start being a happier person today. Boost your mood and those of your friends, family and colleagues and if you have someone in your life who is forever complaining then maybe pass this one along. x
I've put together a playlist in Spotify for you to listen to.
This mix allows me to let go, relax and chill and I hope it does the same for you!
In today's mindfulness meditation I focus on one of the more common reasons people wish to become more mindful...to reduce their experiences of fearful thoughts, anxiety and yes stress inducing thoughts.
Pop in your earphones, find a quiet spot and listen in.
You can do this meditation anytime you find yourself going down the path of fear.
I hope you find some release with this meditation.
