Mindfulness is all about feeling and sitting with the emotions and thoughts that come up moment to moment.
Feeling uneasy may not be your idea of fun yet if we can learn to sit with unease it can teach us...
Please watch the video below and listen to the words.
I record all of my meditations in the moment and it is not rehearsed in any way. This way it is more authentic and true, in the moment.
I am on vacation in Scotland at the moment and took this beautiful video the other day in a place called Aviemore in the Highlands of this beautiful country.
It was so quiet and I loved the sound the water made in this space. It was a warm day but the sun hadn't yet made an appearance.
It is shining daily at the moment so fingers crossed the rest of my trip it remains...
This meditation was part of the Beginner's Meditation Course so it will not go onto the Heart Meditation as it says at the beginning but I do hope you enjoy this short mindful meditation on Evoking Love.
Kindness can go a really long way. We forget to be kind to others and sometimes we even forget to be kind to ourselves...
To begin living a kinder life, to create peace in our world through kindness is such a gift for ourselves and for those around us.
Below is a short mindfulness meditation which centres on Kindness and how you can integrate more of it into your life.
I've put together a playlist in Spotify for you to listen to.
This mix allows me to let go, relax and chill and I hope it does the same for you!
This week's mindfulness meditation centers around bullying, in all of its forms.
I myself was bullied in school and it definitely makes its presence felt every now again, even after 20 years.
Bullying is still, unfortunately, leaking out of the classrooms and into homes and workplaces all over the world.
My aim with this meditation was to allow others to become mindful of what it took me years to understand. That it is NEVER about us.
We just end up making it mean something about us.
Please give it a listen and if you know of anyone else who might benefit from giving it a try then please pass this onto them.
Drop by again next week for another free mindful meditation.

Reigning in your mind can be like trying to stop a pack of wolves from devouring a juicy steak.
Our mind can be tricky and we often have no way to control it. We don’t have, or were not equipped with, the tools to reign in our often-faulty thinking.
Many of us get up and get on with our day before we’ve even become present to the day, the light coming in through the chink in the curtain, the feel of the bed soft and warm beneath our body. We rush to do this thing then that thing and oh there is that other thing later too and away our mind goes into a frenzy of thoughts.
What if like a conductor conducts their orchestra, we could conduct our minds? What if we could make it dance to the symphony of life? What if we could pull back on our pack of hungry wolves? Because like it or not, we all do it. We all feed off our thoughts even when they serve to have us crying into our coffee each morning and die inside a little bit more every single day.
We let them rule and rule they do. The thought becomes another thought and then that thought over time becomes a belief. We then begin to act on these beliefs without realising that it was once just a bunch of thoughts.
That can get us into a lot of trouble…
Mindfulness is such a simple yet effective tool to conduct your mind. It doesn’t have to take long to get into a practice and before long it is something you will do quite naturally.
Over the next few months I will be bringing you some simple mindfulness meditations on this blog, which you can download onto your smartphone or computer.
They will allow you to tune into your mind so you can begin bringing in the beautiful music to your life and keeping the wolves at bay.
The first will be next Monday and it will focus on mindfulness for Anger.
Anger is not a helpful emotion when we wish to be less stressed. It has its place but in everyday situations (particularly at work) it can be damaging to yourself and those around you.
Stop by next week to download your meditation.
